Hey, i don’t know if it’s just me getting older or if dating apps have completely messed up how we connect with people but how do people actually find someone genuine anymore?

I’m not even talking about true love or some perfect fairy tale i mean someone you can have a real conversation with, I miss the old days when you met people through friends or just bumped into someone and it felt natural now it’s endless swiping, small talk that dies in 24 hours, and situationships with expiration dates i feel like i’m scrolling through people like i’m shopping and I hate it.

Anyone else trying to find someone real and feeling like they need an FBI badge to do it?

This post really hits home i was just talking to a friend about how people treat connections like disposable items now there’s always this underlying fear that being real or upfront will make you look too much People aren’t encouraged to build anything slowly anymore it’s instant spark or bust i think finding someone genuine now requires either luck or a miracle

Finding someone genuine on a dating site feels like trying to pick out a diamond in a pile of costume jewelry there are so many profiles so many options and yet very few people who actually show up with honesty and consistency

Dating sites can work i know people who have met their partners online but it takes a lot of filtering you have to deal with ghosting profiles that don’t match real personalities people unsure of what they want finding someone genuine on these platforms is doable but it takes a lot of patience

I don’t think dating sites are the problem it’s how people use them there’s this culture of fast decisions and low effort no one really slows down to get to know someone everyone’s afraid to be vulnerable but i try to stay open because i know someone out there is tired of the surface stuff too

I don’t use dating sites every day but i keep coming back not because i love swiping but because i still believe that maybe just maybe someone out there is looking for me too and if we both keep trying we’ll eventually meet

It’s weird how you can feel surrounded by people on dating sites but still feel completely alone i scroll through profiles read bios send messages and still nothing truly clicks sometimes i wonder if everyone’s just waiting for someone else to make the first real move.

BeenVerified and are not totally free, but their free previews sometimes give you enough breadcrumbs like city relatives or phone area codes to continue your search i wouldn’t buy the full report unless you hit a wall elsewhere though

If you have a phone number or email try reverse lookup tools like free and doesn’t ask for your info if you don’t mind installing the app these can sometimes show names or at least give you the phone carrier and location

If you just need a basic identity confirmation check if the person is mentioned in local news archives or obituaries sounds strange but sometimes searching name helps rule out old records and dead ends

If you are doing a safety check on someone you met online or through dating apps try site that ask photos, job title, and location across social media a genuine person should have consistent info across at least two or three platforms

If you’re trying to find someone sometimes the best approach is just reaching out to people in your own circle talk to mutual friends or anyone who might have crossed paths with them you’d be surprised how often someone says Oh yeah i think I know who you’re talking about  Just putting the word out can lead to unexpected connections it’s easy to forget how powerful real life networks can be

Dating sites can work i have seen people meet their partners there but it really takes time and patience and knowing how to filter through the noise one tip is to focus on platforms where people put more thought into their profiles
