Is BeenVerified legit or just another data scraping scam?

Hey everyone so i’m trying to track down an old high school friend who basically disappeared off social media i figured maybe i could find an address or at least a city to get back in touch nothing shady just genuine curiosity while Googling around the top results like Get full info here and that kind of thing.

I clicked on it and at first it seemed promising like it pulled up a possible match with age relatives even some past cities but of course when i tried to view anything specific i got a  paywall.

So for anyone who’s actually using it, is BeenVerified legit? Did you get any useful info or was it just vague stuff you could’ve found on Google? I’m not looking to stalk anyone or anything, just curious
