Has anyone here used BeenVerified recently? I am considering it for a background check and wanted to see if it is a trustworthy service. Is it accurate and worth the subscription cost? Any feedback or experiences would be appreciated. Thanks!

I used BeenVerified about six months ago to check out a potential roommate. It pulled up old addresses, phone numbers, even social media links. Not perfect but solid for surface level info. Just don’t expect deep criminal records unless you pay extra.

Honestly i found it kinda sketchy. The interface is clean, but a lot of the info was outdated or behind a paywall. Felt like they were baiting me to subscribe for anything useful.

Used it during a messy dating phase lol. It helped me verify a few people weren’t catfishing. One guy said he lived in Brooklyn, BeenVerified said Arkansas. Guess where he really lived.

Following this thread. I’m debating between BeenVerified and TruthFinder. Anyone done a comparison? Just want to make sure I’m not wasting my $30 on a glorified Google search.

I ran a check on myself to see how accurate it was. Got my middle school address right which was impressive… but missed my current phone number and employer. So like 7/10. Okay for basics, not for anything critical.

What worries me is how much personal data they collect. I didn’t finish my subscription and still got a weird activity summary email two weeks later. How are they tracking this?

A lot of these sites aggregate public records. The trustworthy part depends on how up-to-date those records are. BeenVerified is middle-of-the-pack in my opinion. Subscription model kinda sucks tho.

Totally get wanting peace of mind. I used it to check out a Craigslist seller and it helped me dodge a scam. So yeah it has its uses, but don’t rely on it 100%.

BeenVerified’s UI is super intuitive but they upcharge for everything. Like you pay the monthly fee, then they want more for deeper reports. It’s all in the fine print.

Used it for tenant screening. It’s okay but don’t rely on it for criminal records. Better to use a dedicated service or ask for pay stubs and references in person.

I think BeenVerified is a good starting point. Use it for preliminary stuff, then dig deeper if something feels off. Don’t use it as your only source of truth.

I actually love BeenVerified! I’m a true crime junkie and it’s like my personal investigation tool…..so fun digging into random names. Subscription is worth it for the entertainment alone.

I’ve used BeenVerified a few times for tenant screening. It’s decent for basic info like phone numbers, aliases, and known addresses. Just don’t expect FBI-level detail. The criminal record stuff can be hit or miss depending on the state.

Used it to look up an old classmate….found her Facebook, Twitter, even her blog from 2011, creepy accurate. Not saying it’s ethical but it works if you’re nosey like me.
