Are there any legit sites that actually help you find people?

Just thinking if there is a forum or online space specifically for people trying to reconnect with someone from their past like an old friend or former classmate, or even someone you randomly met but didn’t get a chance to stay in touch with. I’m just hoping to reach out to someone I lost contact with a while back, and I’m not sure where to even start. I’ve come across subs which are cool but I was hoping there might be something a little more focused on actually helping people find other people. Does anything like that exist ? Or maybe even a legit site or forum that’s actually helpful? Thanks!

There are a few forums out there but i have found most of them pretty inactive or full of spam it’s a great idea but no one seems to have built a space that really works yet
